On Friday I received a spiffy lil' award from Rancher Mom. Totally wasn't expecting it! THANK YOU!

Alright, let's get down to it! With this award, I am obligated by law to tell you 7 things about moi. (well, maybe not by law...maybe.)
1. I only wear wooden/coconut shell earrings. My skin hates me apparently and I can't wear metal. Necklaces are ok, but no-no with piercings. LE SIGH.
2. I use to dream about being a rock star. For reals. I play guitar (self-taught), and my friends and I started a band in Grade 11 with high hopes of making it (semi-) big. Our first jam night ended with my friend Vanessa drunk in a bath tub and me watching MadTV (not drunk). I still have photos from that night. Ahh, memories.
3. Speaking of alcohol, I can only drink beer. Even then, I do that once in a blue moon. Everything else I'm allergic to. It's kinda brutal...even if I sip wine I instantly feel horrible...heart beating hard, palpitations, stomach pain, throat swelling, face flushing. I've heard from some sources this happens with people of Native decent quite often, and it can also be related to the "Asian Flush" (I know, I don't like that phrase either.) I'm not sure what the reasoning is behind it, but it quite frankly sucks.
4. Growing up I LOVED Anne of Green Gables and Little House on the Prairie. I use to wish I could time travel and live in that era.
5. I still enjoy the Simpsons, especially the older episodes. Hell, I quote the Simpsons still. Is it sad I can mouth the words to certain scenes from the show? Probably. Maybe? (please don't lose respect for me!)
6. My mom and I are basically planning a "World Tour". This is something we have talked about since I was a kid. We both want to travel and see the world. My mom always says "when we win the lottery, kiddo..." The odds of that are slim, but we are planning on doing some travelling in the future when Ben's older.
7. Speaking of Ben...when I was 17 I was diagnosed with PCOS and told I could never have kids naturally. YEAH RIGHT. I think I was misdiagnosed, since I didn't really have any of the symptoms of it except a couple things. I guess Ben was meant to be, and that makes me feel VERY happy.

| Ben and I early one morning a couple months ago. Whoa, no make-up! |
AND AS AN ADDED BONUS, I'm throwing in another Erin Fun Fact. Yours free!
8. My friends and co-workers know me as the "witty" one, as I love making quick remarks, being sarcastic, and making people laugh. I'm still trying to figure this out in regards to blogging...I want to be humorous, but I also don't want to be "mis-read" and have people think I'm a jerk or something when I'm not. I guess I'm still in the process of finding my "internet-voice." Are any of you in that little rut?
Ok, I've told you about me. If you want to share something about yourself, by all means do it!
In the mean time, check out these fine folks as I'm passing this blog award to:
Cameron of Cameron+Whitney
Lynn of Heated Girl
Adrienne of Love Philter
Danielle of Positively Positive
Ashley of After Nine to Five
and you know what?
I'M GIVING YOU ALL THIS AWARD.
YEP.
I love blogging and I love my readers! I know that sounds cheesy, but I really do love interacting with all of you fellow bloggers out there. I've met so many amazing people just by starting a blog, and it has changed my life for the better in so many ways. You all inspire me to try new things, craft pretty stuff, keep my chin up, stay positive, and to keep on trucking (does anyone even say that anymore?) So, to all of you out there, thank you for popping by this lil' blog, following it and saying hey! It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy. :D
Hope you're having a good Monday!

Awww thank you ♥
I once had an "acquaintance" who knew the lines to entire episodes of Family Guy and would say them out loud. It was annoying to watch with her. But I know whole scenes of The Simpsons... and Roseanne... and Six Feet Under. No respect loss from me. :)
Yeah, I don't do that when watching the shows. More like when I'm at work and something happens, I'll blurt out a quote that somehow seems applicable and then I'm like, "Uh oh. Did I just do that??"
Too bad about the allergies! And it's great that you won this award! Congrats. :D
Congrats & Cuuuute picture :)
I loved Anne of Green Gables and Little house on the Prairie, lol. And, I still wish I could travel back in time to certain era's/time periods.
Aw, thanks, love! Hope you're having a wonderful day!
Aw, congrats!
And is it terrible that I find an alcohol allergy absolutely TRAGIC. My condolences, haha. <3
Thanks ladies! And Sarah...it is tragic! Brendan loves wines and scotches and I can never partake! :'(
Aw Thanks for the award pretty! I love it! And I loved reading the facts about you! You are simply awesome!
A 'World Tour' sounds lovely! I would love to do that also!
Let's be friends! I think we would rock together! Take care lovely!
AGREED.
There is NOTHING wrong with quoting Simpsons. Sometimes my brother and I have days on end where we pretty much only speak in quotes from the show....now thats wierd ;) Erin, love your blog. So glad their are other mama's out there that are like us ;)
LOVE your blog:]
BEAUTIFUL lady friend.
<3
AND...my body hates cheap jewelry:( my ears always go all...eeeew:/ but i have stretchers and that seems to be alright:)
It was fun to learn more about you!
That is crazy you are alergic to everything but beer! I have a cousin who is alergic to birth control! Can you believe it!
I love the World Tour idea! {sigh}
first, I love the new wooden background here! Awesome. second, CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR AWARD! I know I always love it when I'm surprised with one :)
It was cool to get to read more about you!
As far as my blog goes, thank you so much for stopping by all last week while I was posting sporadically and commenting on almost every post! It means a lot to me!
I still haven't gotten your letter/postcard/whatever you sent, but the mail has been weird here since no one was here last week!
Be prepared for picture overload tomorrow!
S & R...I agree! I'm glad I'm not the only one!!
Jade...maybe I'd have luck with stretchers too. I've never actually tried them :D
Amylou...allergic to birth control??! That's gotta suck :(
Mal...no worries! I heart your blog, and the photos tomorrow will be excellent! I sent out the letter last week (I'm late, I know!) but you should be getting it soon I hope! I hand-made the envelope, and I always worry about whether it'll get through the mail or not...
Haha, I love these photos!
I can completely agree about the internet voice. I haven't been updating my blog much because I honestly don't know what I want to say, how I want to say anything, or how I want it to come out. I don't want to seem arrogant, and I don't want to seem like TOO much. I guess it all just takes getting used to and tweaking things here and there. :P
GAAAAHHH!!! Yay! Thank you for the mention Erin!!! Whitney and I are high five-ing at this moment! Congrats to you as well!!!! We love your blog so much!
Steven...I couldn't agree more! I get like that too. Try making a folder on your desktop to put images/quotes/stuff that inspire you. I find that's helped me out a lot. Eventually I'll get this internet-voice thingy figured out!
Cameron...YESSSS! You two have a pretty sweet blog, you deserve the award!
loved this! yes...i am much funnier/sarcastic in real life. i am also afraid of coming across rude on my blog. even in real life sometimes people don't 'get' my jokes and give me funny looks. sometimes life can be hard for super funny people like us. ;)
It's a daily struggle, my friend.
Erin, you rock girl! thanks so much for the honor and congrats to you on the award too! just sent you a little email love too.
it's so wild you have those allergies, you know what?! when i was married to "the bad man" my wedding ring from him caused my finger to rot! seriously, we tried coating it with every sort of gold, silver and what have you. nothing worked and i think it was my bodies inner sign of things to come. weird hey?
i grew up on Little House lovin' too, Ma & Pa omg......i cry just thinking about them. so beloved. Ben was a total meant to be, he's such a handsome little dude! i freakin' LOVE your blog lades. xo ♥
